1. Scope
This Policy applies when you submit a clip to a ViewMela campaign. It works together with our Terms of Service. If this Policy and the Terms conflict, the Terms control except where they point here for current numbers.
ViewMela pays for verified campaign views, not the highest number a clip showed for a short time. We use the official view count from YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram.
2. Earnings are estimates until verified
ETB amounts shown on a clip, in your wallet, or on a pending payout are provisional. They are not a guarantee that you will be paid that amount. Payment is due only after verification completes, the clip remains eligible, campaign budget remains available, and the brand pays under the campaign rules.
3. Content review before earnings
After you submit a clip, it is in review. The brand has 72 hours to approve or reject it against the campaign guidelines on ViewMela. If they do not decide, it is auto-approved. Views still sync in review; they are not payable until approval.
If the brand rejects the clip, you may appeal once within 7 days. An administrator decides. Vague briefs or extra rules shared only off ViewMela favor the clipper. A successful appeal earns from leftover campaign budget. It does not require the brand to add funds.
4. 72-hour verification hold
After a clip locks for payment — because it reached the campaign max per clip, the campaign budget is empty, or the campaign ended — ViewMela waits 72 hours before the brand can approve payment. That window exists because social platforms often remove invalid traffic after the fact.
During the hold, we continue to sync the platform's reported view count. Smaller corrections reduce the payable amount. A large correction can make the clip ineligible, as described below.
5. Platform view-count drop (current rule)
During the 72-hour hold, we compare the clip's peak platform views with the latest official count:
- Drop under 15%: the clip stays eligible. We pay on the remaining verified views. The reserved amount shrinks; it is not cancelled.
- Drop of 15% or more from peak: the clip is ineligible. The entire reserved payout for that clip is cancelled and returned to the campaign budget. We do not pay the remaining views on that clip. A large post-hoc correction means the recorded performance is not reliable enough to pay against.
This is a verification rule based on the source platform's own numbers. It is not a finding that you bought bots. Buying fake engagement remains separately forbidden under the Terms.
6. Request a review
If you believe the platform count was wrong or the hold was applied in error, contact ViewMela support and ask for a review. We will re-check the official metrics we recorded (peak views, current views, and timestamps). We generally do not override a correction made by YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram. Passing a review is not guaranteed.
7. Changes
The 72-hour window and 15% threshold are the current parameters. We may update this Policy by posting a revised version with a new date. Continued use of ViewMela after a change constitutes acceptance, as described in the Terms.
